If you wondering, this is a real leather portfolio. It has that wonderful "new leather" smell straight out of the packaging. The leather came smooth and imperfection free. I actually like a worn-in leather look, so I make let this toss around in my purse/backpack for a few days to wear it in and get some character scuffs. The pockets and card holders are a little tight, but again, I think a little time to work it in is all that is needed. It does not come with a notebook. If you have a larger phone, it likely will not fit in the pocket meant for your phone. Also, if you have a thick case, it probably won't fit. I have a Pixel 7 with a slim case and it barely squeezed in. It's also a little weird that the phone pocket is behind the area where you'd be writing. Not the end of the world, but you'll likely want to take your phone out before using your notepad. I will be using this to go on client appointments for design, so having a stylish all-in-one like this to carry my phone and business cards, and take notes is perfect!

great smell

I ordered this bag in black and liked it so much I also ordered the cognac. They do not come with straps, but it’s fun to leave the strap to my own choosing and design. These bags are made of quality leather and are a perfect size for work. I can fit my laptop, notebooks, etc all comfortably in this bag. They also have the nice smell of leather and come unlined.

This very nice supple and pocket sized leather notebook, is perfect for anyone who likes to keep something to write in and be on the go! Make sure to buy a few small notebooks to go with this nice little leather journal and you are set!

It is big enough for all of my necessities.

This is a terrific genuine leather piece. It is sturdy, holds it's shape but has begun to wear in - meaning the leather is getting softer to the touch and scuffing up just the right way all while it continues to hold it's structure.I added a guitar strap for use as my daily purse. But I have used it as a handbag for dinner out.I am a mother with a full-time job - I easily swap out diapers & wipes for my work necessities (yes I often overstuff it with my laptop along with cords, a mouse, and folders of documents). The small d-rings don't stress with the weight.

Bigger than expected.

I wanted a leather purse that didn't have a lining or pockets. This one suits my needs perfectly. It's wide opening makes it easy to see the items without them hiding in the lining. I added a purse chain so I can carry it on my shoulder underneath my arm. I recommend this purse if you're looking for a basic one. It looks. The picture; leather is good quality. I hope the company comes out with more colors.
